|Quatre and I have been discussing how we're going to spend the next…|

Quatre and I have been discussing how we're going to spend the next few months, and it looks like a motorcycle trip around Europe is the favorite. Wufei's agreed to keep Shih and Raja for us while we're away. In fact, he looked quite pleased to have been asked. The only remaining question is, where to begin. I'd considered pinning a map to the wall and throwing a dart at it to choose, but Quatre suggested that we should ask all of you for your opinions.
Where should Quatre and I begin our trip?
If you have a suggestion that isn't listed here, please say so in the comments. Oh - and I know Tangier isn't technically in Europe...I've just always wanted to go there. *small smile*

Two places not listed, but worth it: Gamla Stan, which is the old town section of Stockholm. Sweden is a motorcyclist's haven, actually. Take a ferry from Amsterdam and head up in that direction.
And at the other end of the spectrum (finishing point, perhaps?) there's Petra.
Eeee...Can't choose. *stares* So many different connections in my head to books and other stuff from my history classes...
Amsterdam is where Camus' book The Fall
takes place, and Paris is where Clamence lived before he moved to Amsterdam...
Berlin reminds me of the Expressionist artists and the like, with Die Brucke and Der Blaue Reiter groups, and...
*shuts up before she starts babbling* Uh...Honestly, I'd go for the throwing-a-dart-at-a-map option, 'cause I can't choose a specific place...*blush*
Errm...Start north and work your way south? ^^;;
I have no clue where to suggest you start, but come back with
lots of stories.
We expect to hear at least 2 for every place you visit. *nodnod* In fact, keep a travel journal or something so that you make SURE you remember stuff to tell. XD
So...when does this trip start? o_O?
What? No Swiss city on your list? *pouts*
However, I suggest you start your trip in the south since it's already nice and warm down there, and then make your way north as summer approaches, especially since your traveling by motorcycle.
Seconded, and most of the Mediterranean coast is beautiful.
I'd suggest using someplace like Istanbul as your end point, simply because there is so much to absorb there, aside from the warmth and colors. (*really, really wants to go back there*)
If Tangier is some place you always wanted to see then maybe you should start there? After all that is what this trip is about.
What ever you decide I hope you have a wonderful time and we want to hear all the details about the places you see,*the bike(s)*, the ppl you meet *the bike(s)*, the experiences good and bad, *the bike(s)*, and the food.
I agree. Start there and then work your way around Europe.
I voted for Paris because it is the city of love and I'm a hopeless romantic. However, since you've always wanted to go to Tangier, that might be a good place to start. Ending your trip in Tangier might be a good choice too because the memories of the place you always wanted to see will be the freshest in your mind when you return. Good luck and I hope you both have a great time!! *hugs* You deserve it!
Well, wherever you start I hope to hear lots about it. ^_^ When are you leaving?
I say Moscow. Start East, and work your way West to Madrid. And just a suggestion, you could stop by Florence on your way through Italy. ^_^
